GoAP to erect memorial statue of Late Gyamar Padang: CM

ITANAGAR, May 7: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday announced that the Government of Arunachal Pradesh will erect a statue in memory of late Gyamar Padang in recognition of his public-spirited contribution towards society and governance.

Khandu said late Gyamar Padang, who was conferred the State Gold Medal (posthumously), played a significant role in highlighting gaps in the recruitment system and contributed towards strengthening transparency, accountability and efficiency in governance and public institutions.

The Chief Minister informed that he met the family members of late Gyamar Padang today and conveyed his heartfelt respect and condolences.

“The memorial will stand as a lasting tribute to his life and as an inspiration for future generations to uphold honesty, responsibility and public service,” Khandu stated.
