JNV Tawang bags ‘Overall Best School’ award for second consecutive year

TAWANG, May 7: PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Tawang has brought laurels to Arunachal Pradesh by winning the prestigious “Overall Best School (Arunachal Pradesh)” award at the NER Annual Awards 2025–26 for the second consecutive year.

The award was received by Principal M L Meena during a ceremony held at the NCC Group Headquarters in Shillong. The honour was presented by Meghalaya’s Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Wailadmiki Shylla in the presence of Additional Director General Anurag Vij.

This remarkable feat stands as a testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to excellence across academics, discipline, NCC activities, co-curricular achievements, and overall institutional development.

Guided by the NCC motto “Unity and Discipline,” the school has continued to focus on nurturing responsible citizens, future leaders and dedicated nation-builders.

Expressing happiness over the achievement, Meena said receiving the honour for the second consecutive year was a matter of immense pride for the entire JNV Tawang family.

“This achievement reflects the collective dedication, hard work and commitment of our students, teachers, parents and staff. It inspires us to continue striving for excellence while nurturing discipline, leadership, patriotism and a spirit of national service among our students,” he said.
