Adi patriotic songs released, courtesy Siang Trust

PASIGHAT, May 8: Adi patriotic songs were released in an event organized by the Siang Trust here today, with local MLA Ninong Ering and IGP Hibu Tamang doing the honour.

The six patriotic songs in the Adi language, adapted from popular Hindi patriotic tracks, have been composed by Tayom Dai and sung by talented local artists, reflecting a unique blend of cultural identity and national spirit.

In his address, the MLA lauded the efforts of Siang Trust in promoting patriotism through local language adaptations. He emphasized that Arunachal Pradesh has always resonated with the spirit of patriotism through songs and slogans, and such initiatives further strengthen cultural pride and national unity.

IGP Hibu Tamang, in his remarks, shared his experiences of engaging with diverse languages and dialects across the country. He highlighted that music transcends linguistic barriers and serves as a powerful medium to unite people.

Earlier, Siang Trust president Group Captain (rtd) Mohonto Panging Pao presented a brief report outlining the organization’s various activities, including medical camps, yoga training programmes, and other community welfare initiatives.

Secretary Jaya Tasung Moyong also spoke.

The event, which also saw the presence of a host of dignitaries including SP East Siang Pankaj Lamba, Pasighat Municipal Council Chief Councillor Tagom Padung, and Dy Chief Councillor Kamin Lego, CDPYK president Tajom Tasung, Adi Agom Kebang president Bodong Yirang, along with NCC cadets, school students, and the general public, concluded on a patriotic note, celebrating both cultural heritage and national unity through music.
