Khandu, Mein congratulate Adhikari on taking oath as West Bengal CM

Itanagar, May 9: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein on Saturday congratulated senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on taking oath as the first Chief Minister of Bharatiya Janata Party in West Bengal.

Describing the development as a “historic moment” in the political landscape of the country, Khandu, who along with senior leaders and Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states attended the oath-taking ceremony of the new BJP government in West Bengal, said the BJP forming the government in West Bengal marked a significant milestone for Eastern and Northeastern India.

He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their leadership and efforts in achieving the victory.

Khandu said he was confident that under the leadership of Suvendu Adhikari and the guidance of Modi and Shah, West Bengal would witness a new era of transformation, development, and good governance. He also appreciated the people of West Bengal for ushering in what he termed a transformative political change.

Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who also witnessed the oath-taking ceremony, congratulated Adhikari, stating that the BJP’s victory reflected the people’s aspirations for development, stability, and transparent governance.

Mein said the development marked a defining chapter in the nation’s political history and would contribute significantly to the growth and strengthening of Eastern and Northeastern India. He further expressed confidence that under Adhikari’s leadership, West Bengal would move towards rapid progress, peace, and renewed opportunities.
