ITANAGAR, May 15: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Lower Dibang Valley under the direction of ICAR-ATARI, Guwahati organized a programme on ‘balanced use of fertilizer’ on Friday.
The programme, which aimed to create awareness among the farming communities about the balanced use of fertilizer and sustainable agriculture, started with the aims and objectives of the programme by Dr Deepanjali Deori, Sr Scientist & Head.
Dr S K Chaturvedi, SMS (Horticulture), sensitized the farmers on balanced use of fertilizers, organic manure and bio-fertlizers.
Lovin Mingki, PA (Soil Science) highlighted the method of soil sampling and importance of nutrients in plants.
Toktel Boko, SMS (Plant Protection) and other KVK staff also attended the programme, which also included distribution of vegetable seeds to farmers. Altogether, 30 farmers and officials attended the programme.
