Itanagar, May 16: NHPC Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has reported a standalone net profit of Rs 3,618 crore for the financial year 2025-26, registering a 17 per cent increase over the previous fiscal’s profit of Rs 3,084 crore. The company announced its audited financial results following the approval by its Board of Directors.
On a consolidated basis, NHPC recorded a net profit of Rs 4,220 crore during FY 2025-26, compared to Rs 3,412 crore in the previous year, reflecting a growth of 24 per cent.
The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.21 per equity share for the financial year 2025-26 in addition to an interim dividend of Rs 1.40 per share already paid. With this, the total dividend for FY 2025-26 stands at Rs 1.61 per equity share.
The NHPC also achieved its highest-ever annual capacity addition during the fiscal by commissioning three projects with a combined capacity of 1,850 MW. These include the 750 MW component of the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project, the 800 MW Parbati-II Hydroelectric Project, and the 300 MW Karnisar Solar Project. During the year, NHPC’s 25 standalone power stations with a combined installed capacity of 7,401 MW generated 23,307 million units (MUs) of electricity.
NHPC, along with its subsidiaries and joint ventures, presently has an installed capacity of 9333 MW from 31 power stations and is presently engaged in the construction of 17 projects aggregating to a total installed capacity of 9204 MW. It also has nine projects with aggregate capacity of 10263 MW under clearance stage and another nine projects with aggregate capacity of 9830 MW in survey & investigation stage.
