15-day Sangh Shiksha Varg draws to a successful close

PASIGHAT, May 17: The 15-day Sangh Shiksha Varg, an intensive residential training camp of swayamsevaks of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), concluded successfully at Talom Rukbo Nagar here.

The camp, which commenced on May 2 in Arunachal Pradesh, witnessed the participation of 68 shortlisted swayamsevaks from different parts of the State. The trainees represented around 20 indigenous communities of Arunachal Pradesh along with participants from five other non-Arunachali communities, reflecting the spirit of cultural diversity, harmony and unity.

The training programme comprised a wide range of physical and intellectual activities aimed at personality development, discipline, teamwork and leadership building. Physical training sessions included marching exercises, self-defence techniques, Danda (stick) fighting, Yashthi (short stick) training, Yogasanas and short group games. Intellectual sessions featured group discussions, debates, interaction programmes, patriotic songs, Prarthana abhyas and various motivational activities. Team-based competitions focusing on different aspects of personality and organisational skills were also conducted during the camp.

The participants included karyakartas from diverse walks of life, ranging from farmers and youth workers to academicians and administrators. Several eminent personalities addressed and interacted with the trainees during the camp.

Among the speakers were Group Captain (retd) Mohonto Panging Pao, CDPYK president Dr Tajom Tasung, North East Kshetra Pracharak Vasishtha Bujarbaruah, North East Sanghachalak Dr Umesh Chakraborty and other distinguished personalities.

Bharat Bhushan Arora, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Sampark Pramukh, also visited the camp and spent three days interacting closely with the trainees.

Senior Pathologist Dr Kaling Jerang presided over the camp activities and stayed throughout the training period with the participants.

Addressing the gathering at the valedictory function today, Ulhas Kulkarni, Member of the Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini of the RSS and the chief speaker of the function, spoke about the circumstances that led to the formation of the RSS nearly a century ago and highlighted its contributions to society and nation-building over the years.

Referring to India’s historical role in the global economy and its journey towards self-reliance in various sectors, he emphasized the growing relevance of India in the world order. Stating that the RSS has always worked in the interest of the nation, he called upon swayamsevaks and well-wishers to serve society and the nation to the best of their abilities.

The function was attended by around 500 well-wishers from all walks of life, including leaders of various community organisations and public representatives. Demonstrations of drills, self-defence techniques, dandayuddh, padavinyas and yogasanas by the trainees were presented with great discipline and precision, earning appreciation from the audience.
