Call for ‘maximizing’ beneficiaries under social security schemes

ROING, May 18: The District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) meeting for Lower Dibang Valley cum interaction meeting to deliberate on the way forward was conducted today, in presence of local MLA cum Advisor (Education & Home) Mutchu Mithi, MLA Puinnyo Apum, Zilla Parishad Chairperson and ZPMs, DC Fwwrman Brahma, SP Ringu Ngupok, CBOs, HoOs, administrative officers and representatives from NHIDCL, PGCL, NHPC and ITBP.

On the occasion, the MLAs advised the departments and banks to work together to ensure early disbursement of loans under the Atmanirbhar schemes to benefit the beneficiaries. They also called for maximizing number of beneficiaries under social security schemes like old age pension and health coverage scheme, CMAAY.

Moreover, the MLAs appealed to the government for the inclusion of non-APSTs residing in the district to be brought under the CMAAY scheme.

The DC briefed the house on the objective of the meeting, saying it was on to discuss, deliberate and focus on the Atmanirbhar schemes, health coverage schemes, social security schemes, education, ArSRLM, Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) etc.

All the departments gave presentations on various schemes and projects being implemented by them. (DIPRO)
