PASIGHAT, May 20: A DDR-cum-DLMC review meeting was held today at the DC’s conference hall here under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner-cum-Chairman DLMC, East Siang district, to review district’s performance, departmental progress, and major issues requiring policy intervention at the State level.
The meeting was attended by MLAs Ninong Ering (Pasighat West), Tapi Darang (Pasighat East), & Oken Tayeng (Mebo), and ZPC Ruth Tabing Boko, along with HoDs and officers from various departments.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on district overview, human resource status, administrative infrastructure, monthly departmental reviews, achievements, coordination issues, and implementation of flagship Central and State-sponsored schemes. Departments also highlighted key challenges and requirements needing immediate intervention from the State government.
One of the major concerns raised during the review meeting was the shortage of manpower in various departments under Group-C category posts, particularly Lower Division Clerks (LDCs) and Upper Division Clerks (UDCs).
The meeting also reviewed the performance and saturation status of various welfare schemes including PMMVY, PMAY-G, AB-PMJAY, CMAAY, JSY, IFI Scheme, and Dulari Kanya Scheme. Issues related to food safety and social welfare schemes, electrification of major projects, shortage of teachers, legal assistance for court-related matters, and administrative infrastructure were also deliberated upon extensively.
Further, coordination issues amongst departments and the need for strengthening administrative support systems were discussed to ensure effective delivery of public services and timely implementation of developmental programmes in the district.
The Chair urged all departments to maintain close coordination and ensure timely submission of reports and effective implementation of government schemes for overall development of the district.
