West Kameng DC inspects ILP Facilitation Centre, stresses strict vigilance against fake ILPs

Itanagar, May 24: West Kameng Deputy Commissioner Dr Dilip Kumar on Sunday inspected the Inner Line Permit (ILP) Facilitation Centre and the police check gate at Bhalukpong to review visitor facilitation and the ILP verification system.

The inspection was carried out in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Arvind Pangging and the Officer-in-Charge of Bhalukpong Police Station.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed issues related to severe parking congestion near the check gate and the deteriorating condition of the ILP Facilitation Centre. He directed the local administration and police authorities to ensure proper traffic regulation and effective parking management for smooth movement of vehicles and visitors in the area.

Emphasising the need for strict vigilance, Dr Kumar instructed officials concerned to maintain thorough scrutiny during the issuance and verification of Inner Line Permits to prevent illegal entry into Arunachal Pradesh through fake or fraudulent ILPs.

He also stressed the importance of close coordination between the Tourist Facilitation unit and the ILP Facilitation Centre to improve public service delivery and ensure efficient management of visitors entering the State.

The DC assured all possible support from the district administration for improvement and strengthening of the facilitation centre infrastructure and services. He further urged all officials and staff members to remain sincere, honest, courteous and proactive while assisting visitors seeking ILPs, while strictly adhering to government guidelines and procedures related to the issuance of permits.
