Itanagar, May 26: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday chaired the first-ever CM PRAGATI meeting, a revamped monitoring and review platform aimed at strengthening coordination, accountability and timely execution of major infrastructure and strategic projects across the State.
Formerly known as e-Pragati, the initiative brought together senior officers from key government departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), and agencies from the power, telecom and oil sectors. Deputy Commissioners from across the State also joined the meeting virtually.
During the review session, the Chief Minister assessed the progress of major infrastructure and strategic projects, identified bottlenecks, addressed coordination issues and directed authorities to expedite implementation.
Highlighting the objective of the initiative, Khandu stated that CM PRAGATI is focused on ensuring accountability, faster decision-making and timely delivery of projects for the benefit of the people.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who also attended the meeting, described the initiative as an important step towards improving monitoring and coordination of development projects in the State.
He said the detailed review involving senior officials, Deputy Commissioners and executing agencies reflected the collective commitment of the government towards resolving pending issues, improving inter-agency coordination and ensuring faster execution on the ground.
Stressing the importance of continuous review and accountability, Mein noted that development gains momentum when implementation is supported by effective coordination and timely decision-making.
Officials said the CM PRAGATI platform is expected to play a key role in accelerating infrastructure growth and improving project delivery across Arunachal Pradesh.
