Union Minister Karandlaje offers ‘ways’ to shore up dev activities and augment public service delivery in Siang district

BOLENG, May 28: Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises & Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje today took an overall assessment of developmental activities and public service delivery in Siang district through a comprehensive review meeting and site visits.

The day commenced with a review meeting at the conference hall of Circuit House Boleng, chaired by the Union Minister, with Siang Deputy Commissioner Tayi Taggu, administrative officers, Heads of Offices, and other key officials from MSME and Labour Dept in attendance

The District Administration presented a detailed overview of Siang district, outlining significant developmental initiatives and proposed interventions.

During the meeting, MoS Karandlaje addressed the gathering, offering valuable guidance and suggestions aimed at bolstering developmental activities and enhancing public service delivery across the district.

Following the meeting, the Union Minister undertook site visits within Boleng. Her inspection included a Brick Fabrication Unit operating under the Deendayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUSY), a housing unit benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) scheme, and the District Hospital at Boleng.

Afterwards, Minister Karandlaje proceeded to the Moli and Moruk villages under Pangin circle, where she was accorded a warm welcome by villagers, Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) leaders, and the DA. The dignitary’s visit to these villages involved inspecting various community infrastructures, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) beneficiary houses, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) works, the Open Air Gym, and water tank infrastructure developed under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).

The visit concluded through interactions with beneficiaries and villagers of Pangin village and a review of various developmental activities currently being implemented in the area, underscoring the government’s commitment to grassroots progress and improved welfare. (DIPRO)
