Itanagar, Jun 1: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) on Monday commenced its nationwide June 2026 Term-End Examinations (TEE), marking the beginning of a major academic exercise that will continue till July 21 next.
Conducted in accordance with the university’s academic calendar, the examinations are being held across the country in morning and afternoon sessions, excluding Sundays and public holidays. The seven-week-long evaluation process covers a wide range of academic programmes offered by the university.
In Arunachal Pradesh, IGNOU has made extensive arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations, particularly for students residing in remote and hilly areas. The Term-End examinations are being conducted at five designated centres across the state, with thousands of learners appearing for various courses.
The candidates include students enrolled in certificate, diploma, bachelor’s degree, and postgraduate degree and diploma programmes, reflecting the university’s diverse academic outreach in the state.
To ensure hassle-free conduct of the examinations, the university’s regional administration has coordinated with local authorities and law enforcement agencies for uninterrupted power supply, adequate security, and necessary student support services at all examination centres.
IGNOU Headquarters has advised all examinees to carry their Hall Tickets and valid University Identity Cards to their respective examination centres. Dedicated control rooms and digital helpdesks have also been activated at the university’s headquarters in New Delhi and regional centres to address student queries and resolve hall ticket-related issues in real-time.
