Mass Cosmos Flower Plantation Drive conducted at Yachuli

YACHULI, Jun 3: In a move aimed at beautifying public spaces and promoting environmental sustainability, the Keyi Panyor district administration organized a Mass Cosmos Flower Plantation Drive at the District Secretariat premises and along the vicinity of the main gate of the Divisional Commissioner, West, at Yachuli.

The initiative was undertaken to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the district headquarters while encouraging environmental awareness and community participation in maintaining a greener and cleaner environment.

Cosmos flower saplings and organic manure for the plantation programme were provided by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Yachuli. The district administration expressed its appreciation to KVK Yachuli for its valuable support and contribution towards the initiative.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Deputy Commissioner Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta, Addl Deputy Commissioner Likha Tejji, Assistant Commissioner Mumne Borang, heads of departments, officials, police personnel, Political Interpreters, and members of the Yachuli Market Welfare Committee.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasized the importance of collective efforts in creating cleaner, greener, and more beautiful public spaces, and encouraged continued community participation in environmental conservation activities.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to promoting sustainable environmental practices and enhancing the overall landscape of the district headquarters through similar programmes in the future. (DIPRO)
