Namsing vill gets Open Air Gym on WED 26

ITANAGAR, Jun 5: On World Environment Day, Namsing village in East Siang district has got an Open Air Gymnasium, set up by Military Station Sigar as part of its Operation Sadbhavana, with a plantation program marking the occasion.

The program was attended by Mebo MLA Oken Tayeng, Commander Military Station Sigar along with senior officers, Wildlife Warden Talut Siram, Gaon Buras, village elders and school children.

At the inauguration, the military station made installation of 11 equipment in the open air gym, which is expected to bring about a motivational change among children, youth and elders through inculcating a healthy lifestyle.

MLA Tayeng, Commander Military Station, Talut Siram and Siang Trust president Group Captain (rtd) Mohonto Panging Pao addressed the gathering.

The villagers and Gaon Burahs, while hailing the initiative, commended the Indian Army for helping remote villages under its Operation Sadbhavana.
