ITANAGAR, Jun 11: The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Govt of Arunachal Pradesh, has informed that Post-Matric Scholarship payments for the academic year 2025-26 are being processed under the newly introduced SNA-SPARSH system, resulting in a brief delay in disbursement.
According to the department, the implementation of Central schemes has been shifted to the SNA-SPARSH mode through the Reserve Bank of India. The transition required integration of the payment module across multiple platforms, including the National Scholarship Portal (NSP), IFMIS, PFMS, the concerned ministry, RBI, and NPCI, followed by technical trials.
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt of India, has released Rs 71.99 crore as the first instalment for scholarship payments. Subsequently, the Education Department received sanction for Rs 79.99 crore on June 2, including the state government's matching share.
The department disbursed the entire sanctioned amount on June 6, covering 27,219 students under the first instalment. The scholarship amount is expected to be credited to the beneficiaries' bank accounts shortly.
The remaining 22,029 students will receive their scholarships once the Ministry of Tribal Affairs releases the next instalment of funds, the department stated.
It further informed that the Utilization Certificate for the first instalment has already been submitted to the ministry, along with a request for the early release of the next instalment.
The department also identified 2,157 students whose scholarship payments may be affected due to issues related to Aadhaar linkage or bank account details. These students have been advised to rectify the discrepancies at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the Dtate Govt-funded stipend and book grant for eligible students were released in April this year, the department added.
