ITANAGAR, Jun 12: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), organized a legal awareness programme on the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour at the OJU Welfare Association (OWA), Naharlagun on Friday.
The programme was graced by Tadu Tamang, member secretary APSLSA, and Jangphun Tangjang, Superintendent OWA.
As part of the awareness initiative, APSLSA screened short documentaries on drug abuse, POCSO, domestic violence, and elderly abuse, followed by awareness sessions on child rights, JJ Act, POCSO Act, Right to Education Act, NALSA Child-Friendly Legal Services Scheme, Victim Compensation Scheme, and prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace by Legal Aid Counsels - Techi Nech, and Mary Howrangbam.
As many as 95 participants took part in the programme.
