ITANAGAR, Jun 18: The Centre is set to disburse incentive benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) across the country, including Arunachal Pradesh, through the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

This was informed by Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, Itanagar, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava. He said the scheme has been launched to support newly recruited employees and employers while promoting formal employment and social security coverage.

Under the programme, incentive benefits amounting to nearly Rs 2,400 crore will be distributed to eligible beneficiaries nationwide through direct transfer to their bank accounts.

Srivastava said the Ministry of Labour and Employment will organise a nationwide event on June 19 for the distribution of incentives under PMVBRY at around 200 locations across the country, including Itanagar.

He informed that approximately 250 employees from Arunachal Pradesh are expected to receive benefits under the scheme.

“The scheme is applicable to jobs created between August 1, 2025 and July 31, 2027 and reflects the Government’s commitment towards employment generation, skill development and expansion of social security benefits for workers across the country,” he said.

The PMVBRY aims to encourage job creation in the formal sector while providing financial support to both employees and employers, thereby strengthening the country's workforce and social security framework.
