L/Siang holds workshop on Udyam and FSSAI Registration

LIKABALI, Jun 19: A workshop-cum-awareness programme on ‘Udyam and FSSAI registration’ was successfully organized by the BMMU, Likabali Unit at the Circuit House conference hall here, with the objective of creating awareness among entrepreneurs, Self-Help Groups, business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs on the importance of business registration and food safety compliance.

Tarik Nyitan, Dy Director Industries (DDI), Lower Siang, attended the programme as a resource person. In his address, he highlighted the significance of Udyam registration for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), emphasizing various government schemes, financial assistance, and benefits available to registered enterprises.

He encouraged SHGs and individual entrepreneurs to avail themselves of these opportunities and assured them of all possible guidance and support from the Dept of Industries.

Lokam Chaje, Food Safety Officer (FSO), Lower Siang, also attended as a resource person and delivered an informative session on FSSAI registration. He elaborated on food safety standards, legal requirements, and the benefits of obtaining FSSAI certification for food business operators.

He urged SHGs and food entrepreneurs to maintain quality standards to enhance marketability and consumer trust.

An interactive discussion and query session was held, providing participants with an opportunity to seek clarification on registration procedures and related matters.

The workshop served as an important platform to enhance awareness and encourage local entrepreneurs and business establishments to avail themselves of the benefits offered under Udyam and FSSAI registration, thereby promoting entrepreneurship and ensuring food safety standards in the district.
