IMC Corporator seeks urgent upgradation of Puroik Colony school infrastructure

ITANAGAR, Jun 23: Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) Corporator of Ward No. 13, Tamuk Tagiang, has appealed to the State Government and concerned authorities to urgently address the deteriorating condition of Govt Upper Primary School, Puroik Colony at Papu Nallah.

Expressing concern over the condition of the school, particularly during the ongoing monsoon season, Tagiang said the infrastructure has become dilapidated and requires immediate attention.

He highlighted safety concerns for students, teachers and staff, stating that the school urgently needs a retaining wall and other essential maintenance works to prevent further damage from heavy rainfall.

The corporator urged the Chief Minister, IMC Mayor, local MLA and officials of the concerned departments to visit the school and take prompt action to address the issues.

“Education is the foundation of our future, and our children deserve a secure and well-maintained school environment. The construction of a retaining wall and improvement of the school infrastructure should be taken up on priority,” Tagiang said.

He emphasized that timely intervention is necessary to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students and expressed hope that the authorities would extend the required support for the overall development and improvement of the school.
