CM reviews Keyi Panyor flash flood situation, assures continued support

Itanagar, Jun 28: Chief Minister Pema Khandu held a virtual review meeting on Saturday to assess the situation arising from the recent flash flood in Keyi Panyor district and monitor ongoing relief and restoration efforts.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioners of Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi, Lower Subansiri, Keyi Panyor and Kamle districts, along with the Chief Secretary, Director General of Police and officials of the concerned departments.

During the review, the Chief Minister assessed the progress of relief and rescue operations, road restoration works, medical response measures and the availability of essential supplies in the affected areas. Discussions also focused on ensuring timely assistance to affected residents and expediting efforts to restore normalcy.

Khandu reiterated the state government’s commitment to extending all possible support to the affected communities and directed officials to maintain close coordination to ensure effective implementation of relief and rehabilitation measures.

The government continues to closely monitor the situation and has assured that all necessary resources will be mobilized to assist people affected by the flash flood.
