ITANAGAR, Jul 6: The State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR) conducted a State-level Training of Trainers (ToT) programme for the implementation of the Viksit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025.
The two-day programme was organised jointly with the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) and attended by Sub-Divisional Officers, Circle Officers, Block Development Officers and other field-level officials from Changlang, Kurung Kumey, Tirap, Longding and Papum Pare districts.
The training focused on institutional mechanisms, financial management, transparency, social audits, digital reporting and implementation strategies under the new Act.
Resource persons from NIRDPR and the Rural Development Department highlighted the importance of building institutional capacity for effective implementation of rural employment and livelihood programmes. The programme concluded with an interactive feedback session, with participants expressing confidence in implementing the provisions of the Act in their respective districts.
