BASAR, Jul 11: The Galo Welfare Society (GWS) on Saturday honoured Mongam Padu and Pogam Padu of Kamdi village in West Siang district with a Certificate of Honour in recognition of their exemplary parenting, unwavering commitment to education and lifelong dedication to nurturing their children.
The couple was felicitated during a programme at Basar in Leparada district, where the certificate was presented by GWS President Er Toli Basar.
According to the society, the honour acknowledges the couple's sacrifices, values and steadfast support that enabled their children to excel in diverse fields, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), engineering, medicine and public administration.
The GWS stated that the achievements of the family have brought pride to the Galo community as well as Arunachal Pradesh, and serve as an inspiration for parents to prioritise education and perseverance in shaping the future of their children.
