Rono Hills, Jul 15: The Rajiv Gandhi University Research Scholars' Forum (RGURSF) on Wednesday welcomed the newly inducted Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University, Prof Shivaraj, at the university campus.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Shivaraj expressed his vision of transforming the university into a leading centre of research with national prominence and international recognition. He urged research scholars to ensure that their work goes beyond personal academic achievements and contributes meaningfully to society.
Welcoming the Vice-Chancellor, RGURSF president Habung Hagio congratulated him on assuming office and expressed confidence that his leadership would usher in a new era of academic excellence, innovation and commitment to higher education in the university and the State.
Hagio also briefed the Vice-Chancellor on the objectives behind the formation of the Research Scholars' Forum and sought his support for its future initiatives aimed at strengthening the research ecosystem at the university.
The interaction was also attended by the Forum's general secretary, convenor, assistant education secretary and other executive members.
