TUTING, Jul 25: The Indian Army organised 'Shaurya Sambandh', a veterans' outreach programme, at Tuting in Upper Siang district on July 23, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris, Veer Matas and their families living in remote border areas.
The initiative aimed to connect with veterans residing in geographically challenging regions where access to welfare services is often limited. During the programme, participants were informed about various Government and Army welfare schemes, pension benefits, healthcare facilities, financial assistance, resettlement opportunities and other entitlements available to Ex-Servicemen and Veer Naris.
Army officials also guided beneficiaries on the procedures to avail these benefits, helping them access their rightful entitlements more efficiently.
A key feature of the event was a grievance redressal session, where veterans and their family members directly shared their concerns with Army representatives. Individual cases were heard with empathy, and necessary steps were initiated to facilitate timely resolution through the appropriate authorities.
The outreach programme also honoured the invaluable contributions and sacrifices of the veteran community, reinforcing the values of gratitude, dignity and national pride while strengthening the bond between the Indian Army and its veterans.
The Army stated that Shaurya Sambandh reflects its unwavering commitment to ensuring that no Ex-Serviceman or Veer Nari, irrespective of location, is left behind, upholding its enduring ethos of serving those who served the nation.
