Itanagar, Jul 26: The Niti Vihar Police has busted a two-wheeler theft racket and recovered seven stolen scooties in a swift operation, solving three theft cases registered under Section 305(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Acting on sustained investigation and intelligence inputs, the police apprehended several Children in Conflict with Law (CCL) allegedly involved in the thefts.
During the operation, police recovered seven stolen scooties from different locations across the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR), including Itanagar and Naharlagun.
Police said efforts are underway to establish the ownership of some of the recovered vehicles and to trace additional stolen two-wheelers that may be linked to the racket.
The investigation is continuing, with authorities working to identify and verify the involvement of other individuals who may be connected to similar theft cases, the police said.
