KHONSA, Jul 29: The District Advisory Committee (DAC) of MY Bharat, Tirap, on Wednesday reviewed the progress of youth development programmes and called for a district-wide campaign to maximise youth registration on the MY Bharat Portal.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Badonlum Tawsik at the DC's Conference Hall, was attended by senior officials from various departments to strengthen coordination in implementing youth-focused programmes.
District Youth Officer Sukhveer Bishnoi briefed the committee on MY Bharat's vision, annual action plan and key initiatives, including experiential learning programmes, youth club development, sports promotion, volunteer engagement and awareness campaigns.
The committee reviewed the ongoing MY Bharat portal registration drive, being conducted from July 1 to August 15 for youth aged 15 to 29 years. Members urged government departments, schools, colleges, NSS and NCC units, youth clubs and community organisations to actively mobilise eligible youth to register.
The meeting also discussed appointing MY Bharat Nodal Officers and Campus Ambassadors in educational institutions to strengthen outreach.
Officials noted that portal registration provides access to experiential learning opportunities, volunteering programmes, national competitions, sports events, leadership initiatives, digital certificates, CV-building tools and mentorship opportunities.
DC Badonlum Tawsik called upon all stakeholders to work collectively to ensure every eligible young person in Tirap benefits from the initiative, saying it would help youth acquire skills, gain practical experience and contribute to nation-building.
The meeting concluded with participating departments reaffirming their commitment to supporting the registration campaign and implementing MY Bharat programmes effectively across the district. Quarterly review meetings will be held to monitor progress. (DIPRO)
