Itanagar, Jul 29: The Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) has launched a dedicated Legal Aid Clinic under the NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana, 2025 to provide free legal assistance to serving defence personnel, ex-servicemen and their eligible family members.
The Legal Aid Clinic has been established at the office of the Rajya Sainik Board-cum-Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Zoo Road, Itanagar, with the objective of ensuring easy access to competent legal services for the armed forces community.
The initiative is part of the National Legal Services Authority's (NALSA) Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana, 2025, which seeks to strengthen legal support for defence personnel and their families across the country.
According to APSLSA, the clinic will provide free legal aid, legal advice, legal counselling, legal representation and assistance in legal matters through trained Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) and panel lawyers. Beneficiaries will also receive guidance on filing applications, accessing Govt welfare schemes and availing legal remedies under various laws and schemes.
APSLSA has appealed to serving defence personnel, ex-servicemen and their eligible dependants requiring legal assistance to visit the Legal Aid Clinic or approach the nearest District Legal Services Authority. They may also contact the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority, Itanagar, for further assistance.
