LIKABALI, Jul 30: A training programme for Block Level Officers (BLOs) and Supervisors in connection with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls 2026 was conducted at the DC’s conference hall here today.
The training aimed to ensure that field-level election functionaries are well-equipped to undertake the post-draft activities efficiently and facilitate a smooth and transparent electoral roll revision process across Lower Siang district.
Organised by the District Election Office (Lower Siang) with Assistant Commissioner (E) Janes Mary Tayeng in the chair, the training focused on the post-draft phase of SIR 2026, particularly the process of serving notices to electors in cases involving mapping discrepancies, no mapping and other related issues, as prescribed in the post-draft schedule.
The participating BLOs and Supervisors were briefed on the procedures to be followed during the verification and notice-serving process, with emphasis on accuracy, transparency and timely completion of the assigned tasks.
As per the schedule, the notice-serving exercise is to be completed by August 6 next. (DIPRO)
