PAKKE KESSANG/YACHULI, Jul 31: Senior Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service (APCS) officer Likha Tejji has assumed charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Pakke Kessang district following his transfer from Keyi Panyor, where he served as the founding Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters).
An APPSCCE 2003 topper, Tejji, during his career, has held several important administrative assignments, including Commissioner of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation and Under Secretary in the Department of Higher and Technical Education. His contributions in these roles earned appreciation, and he was subsequently appointed as the State Government's nominee to the Board of Management of the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST).
Before his new posting, the Keyi Panyor District Administration accorded him a warm farewell at Yachuli in recognition of his significant contribution to laying the administrative foundation of the newly created district. The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner Ankita Mishra, HoDs, administrative officers, public representatives and officials.
Tejji earned widespread respect for his integrity, professionalism and people-centric approach to governance. During his tenure in Keyi Panyor, he played a pivotal role in establishing institutional systems, strengthening inter-departmental coordination and ensuring efficient public service delivery despite limited infrastructure and manpower in the district's formative years.
He was recognised for his active field presence, regular inspections, developmental reviews and leadership during disaster response operations. His stewardship of the Judicial, Election and Land Branches, as well as his role in the successful conduct of the 2025 Panchayat elections, drew appreciation from colleagues and the public alike.
Tejji also made notable contributions as District Panchayat Development Officer by strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions and grassroots governance.
His leadership during the devastating June 24, 2026 flash floods at Possa and NEEPCO Colony was widely appreciated as he personally supervised rescue, relief and restoration efforts while coordinating with departments, security agencies and local communities.
Among his major achievements were facilitating the resolution of the long-pending GREF–Possa land dispute and addressing several sensitive issues related to power transmission lines, land disputes and key infrastructure projects, including groundwork for the proposed upgradation of the Kimin–Potin Highway.
In his farewell address, Tejji thanked the officers, public representatives and the people of Keyi Panyor for their cooperation and called for stronger disaster preparedness at the village level and continued commitment to transparent, people-centric governance.
DC Ankita Mishra lauded his outstanding service and said his efforts had laid a strong administrative foundation for Keyi Panyor. She expressed confidence that Pakke Kessang district would benefit from his experience, dynamic leadership and commitment to inclusive development.
The officers, staff and people of Pakke Kessang district have extended a warm welcome to Tejji on his assumption of office as the new Deputy Commissioner of the district. He is expected to focus on strengthening governance, accelerating developmental initiatives and ensuring efficient public service delivery in the district. (DIPROs)
