KHONSA, Aug 3: The Assam Rifles organised a medical camp under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme (ARCAP) at Noglo village in Tirap district on Sunday, reaffirming its commitment to providing essential healthcare services to people living in remote and far-flung areas.
The camp aimed to improve access to primary healthcare for residents of Noglo and adjoining villages. A team of medical officers conducted general health check-ups, offered medical consultations, treated common ailments, distributed essential medicines, and created awareness on preventive healthcare, personal hygiene, sanitation, and disease prevention.
A total of 312 villagers availed the free healthcare services during the camp, receiving medical consultations, medicines, and guidance on maintaining healthy lifestyles. The initiative helped address basic healthcare needs while promoting awareness of preventive health practices among the local population.
Residents and community leaders expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for organising the camp and appreciated its continued efforts to reach remote communities through humanitarian and civic action initiatives.
