CoSAAP donates Rs 8 lakh for flood relief in Keyi Panyor

Yachuli, Aug 4: The Keyi Panyor district unit of the Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP) on Tuesday handed over a cheque of Rs 8 lakh to Deputy Commissioner Ankita Mishra to support the relief and rehabilitation of families affected by the recent flash floods in the district.

A six-member CoSAAP delegation, led by district unit president Er Toko Lento and general secretary Chukhu Epa, presented the cheque at the District Secretariat in Yachuli.

The relief fund, mobilised through voluntary contributions from government employees and well-wishers, will assist families affected by the devastating flash floods in Possa, NEEPCO Colony and adjoining areas of Keyi Panyor district.

CoSAAP expressed gratitude to its Central Executive Committee, led by Likha Tech, and the district units of Namsai, Papum Pare, Lohit, Leparada and East Siang for their generous contributions, guidance and support in making the humanitarian initiative successful.

The association also thanked government employees across Keyi Panyor district for their voluntary contributions, stating that their collective support reflected compassion, solidarity and a strong sense of public service during the crisis.

Receiving the cheque, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated CoSAAP’s initiative and acknowledged the generosity of contributors from across the state. She assured that the fund would be utilised in a transparent and judicious manner for the relief, welfare and rehabilitation of flood-affected families. (DIPRO)
