IFCSAP donates Rs 3.16 lakh for flood-hit East Siang

PASIGHAT, Aug 6: Expressing solidarity with families affected by the recent flash floods in East Siang district, the Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP) on Wednesday donated Rs 3,16,350 to the District Administration to support relief and rehabilitation efforts.

The cheque was formally handed over to East Siang Deputy Commissioner Sonalika Jiwani by an IFCSAP delegation led by Olom Perme, vice president, Youth Wing, Central Executive Committee, IFCSAP.

The delegation also included Omir Tatin, president IFCSAP East Siang Unit; Omem Tamuk Gao, Women’s Wing president IFCSAP East Siang Unit; and Taken Payum, general secretary IFCSAP East Siang Unit.

The amount was contributed collectively by several units of IFCSAP, including East Siang (Rs 25,000), Upper Siang (Rs 34,850), Dibang Valley (Rs 51,000), Lohit (Rs 15,500), Namsai (Rs 1,20,000), Longding (Rs 20,000), and Central IFCSAP (Rs 50,000), reflecting the organization’s united commitment to supporting flood-hit families in East Siang.

Speaking on the occasion, the IFCSAP representatives reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to extending support during times of crisis. They also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the East Siang District Administration and all agencies engaged in relief and rehabilitation operations.

In her address, the DC thanked IFCSAP for its generous humanitarian gesture and acknowledged the organization’s commitment towards community welfare. She stated that such collective efforts strengthen relief initiatives and provide meaningful assistance to families striving to rebuild their lives after the disaster. (DIPRO)
