PAA sponsors education of promising para athlete Beti Wallong at DPS Itanagar

Itanagar, Aug 6: In a significant step towards promoting inclusive education and sports, the Paralympic Association of Arunachal (PAA) has facilitated the admission of promising para table tennis player Beti Wallong to Delhi Public School (DPS), Itanagar, where she will continue her education alongside regular sports training.

Hailing from the Puroik community in East Kameng district, Beti Wallong is an orphan who has overcome immense personal challenges while pursuing her sporting aspirations. Recognising her talent, determination and potential, the PAA has taken responsibility for supporting her educational and athletic journey.

Under the initiative, the Association will bear the expenses of her education and sports training, ensuring that financial and social constraints do not hinder her pursuit of excellence in para table tennis.

The PAA said the move reflects its commitment to nurturing talented para athletes by providing them with opportunities for quality education, professional training and holistic development.

The Association also expressed gratitude to its Chairman Takam Pario for his unwavering support, visionary leadership and continued commitment towards the welfare, education and development of para athletes across Arunachal Pradesh.

Extending its best wishes to Beti Wallong, the PAA expressed confidence that she would excel in both academics and sports and bring laurels to Arunachal Pradesh and the country through her future achievements.
