AALO, Aug 9: As part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign marking the fifth year of the initiative, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) carried out a Tiranga Rally today, marching from the Aalo-based 20th Battalion ITBP headquarters to Nehru Chowk, the heart of the township.
Aimed at encouraging citizens to hoist the national flag and participate in activities celebrating patriotism, national unity and India’s cultural heritage, this year’s campaign holds special significance as it coincides with the 150th anniversary of India’s national song ‘Vande Mataram’, bringing together the national flag and the national song in a unique celebration of patriotism.
The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 200 ITBP personnel, who marched proudly with the national flag to convey a message of patriotism, national unity, and respect for the tricolour.
The event was conducted under the direction of Vijay Bhatti, Commandant 20th Battalion ITBP, and led by Gouranga Mandal, Assistant Commandant (AC/GD). The initiative reflected the ITBP's commitment to fostering national pride and unity among citizens.
The campaign aims to encourage people to proudly display the national flag at their homes and strengthen the spirit of ‘Nation First’ across all sections of society.
The programme concluded peacefully with active participation from both ITBP personnel and local citizens, reaffirming the strong bond between the paramilitary force and the community. (With inputs from DIPRO)
