KHONSA, Aug 11: As part of the commemoration of 150 years of the national song Vande Mataram, Assam Rifles organized a Tiranga Rally and Poster Making Competition at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Barap on Monday.
A total of 118 girl students, including 14 teaching staff, participated enthusiastically in the event, which aimed to foster patriotism, creativity, national unity and awareness about the historical and cultural significance of Vande Mataram among the young minds.
The students took part in the Tiranga Rally with patriotic fervour and showcased their creativity and understanding of the theme through the Poster Making Competition.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, wherein the students including the winners were encouraged for their enthusiastic participation and creative efforts.
The successful conduct of the event reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ commitment towards promoting patriotism, national integration, youth engagement and strengthening the bond of trust and goodwill with the local community. (DIPRO)
