RUKSIN, Aug 12: As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, a Tiranga Yatra was carried out here today, with a large number of students, local representatives and community members participating in a march from the Ruksin-Dolung bridge to the Ruksin general ground.
The event was organized by the 37th BJP Mandal to promote patriotism, national unity and respect for the tricolour. Students of Ruksin Town Middle School and Ruksin Primary School also took part in the march, adding strong participation from young people to the programme.
Participants, carrying the national flag, marched through Ruksin, raising patriotic slogans and expressing their commitment to national unity.
Speaking to the media, West Pasighat MLA Ninong Ering emphasized the importance of unity and patriotism, particularly among the younger generation. He said that citizens must remain united and uphold the spirit of the nation.
Ering also spoke about the prevailing Assam–Arunachal Pradesh border issue, stressing the importance of maintaining peace and unity while addressing concerns arising along the inter-state boundary.
Describing the issue as a sensitive matter for communities living in border areas, the MLA stressed the need for dialogue and responsible engagement to prevent “tensions from escalating”.
The programme was attended by Panchayat-level officers and representatives, and Additional Deputy Commissioner, among others.
