Guv attends CM’s ‘At Home’ reception on I-Day

ITANAGAR, Aug 16: Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik, along with his better half Anagha Parnaik, attended the ‘At Home’ reception hosted by Chief Minister Pema Khandu at his official residence in Niti Vihar here on Saturday on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day.

The Governor and his wife exchanged Independence Day greetings with the Chief Minister, distinguished guests and invitees, reflecting the shared commitment towards nation-building, unity and progress.

The reception also featured a colourful cultural programme showcasing the rich traditions and artistic heritage of Arunachal Pradesh.

Patriotic songs rendered by Pakngam Lombi and Runka Cheda added to the spirit of national pride, while artistes of CK Bliss presented ‘Thillana in Ragam Hindolam’ from the Bharatanatyam repertoire. The Arunachal Symphony by CK Bliss added a special musical dimension to the evening.

Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly, chairpersons of autonomous bodies, community leaders and people from diverse sections of society attended the reception.

The gathering provided an occasion to celebrate the spirit of unity in diversity and reaffirm the enduring values associated with India’s Independence.
