PASIGHAT, Aug 19: The Adi Baane Kébang (ABK) team, led by its president Tanon Tatak and acting general secretary Oson Taying, conducted a land survey today for the proposed site for establishing an AIIMS-like Medical College at Pasighat.
On the first day of the survey, the team visited the land parcels proposed to be donated by the Bilat, Sigar and Ayeng communities. The team carried out a ground-level assessment of the proposed areas and interacted with the concerned stakeholders regarding the land proposed for the ambitious healthcare project.
The proposed medical institution is envisioned as a major healthcare and medical education facility for the region, with the potential to strengthen advanced healthcare services and medical education in Arunachal Pradesh and the wider northeastern region.
The survey will continue tomorrow, with the ABK team scheduled to visit the remaining areas proposed for donation.
The initiative reflects the collective willingness of the concerned communities to contribute land towards a project of significant public importance and the ABK's efforts to facilitate the process in a systematic manner.
