Tuting, Aug 20: The Spearhead Division, under the aegis of Spear Corps, organised a community outreach programme at Government Town Secondary School, Tuting, in Upper Siang district, with the participation of 43 students, five teachers and personnel of the Indian Army.
The programme aimed to promote awareness, creativity, responsible citizenship and community harmony through a series of interactive activities, including a poster-making competition, quiz and motivational lecture.
During the motivational interaction, students were encouraged to understand the importance of empathy, mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and responsible citizenship. They were also urged to recognise their role as young citizens in building an inclusive, cohesive and harmonious society.
The programme provided an opportunity for meaningful interaction between Army personnel and the local community, further strengthening bonds of trust, cooperation and mutual respect. The enthusiastic participation of students and teachers added vibrancy to the event and reflected the close connect between the Army and people of the region.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge by the participants to uphold the values of unity, mutual respect and responsible citizenship and to contribute positively towards society and the nation.
The initiative underscored the Indian Army’s continued commitment to engaging with communities in remote border areas and encouraging young minds through constructive and community-oriented activities.
