DAPORIJO, Aug 26: The District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI) held a review meeting on Routine Immunization (RI) and the HPV Vaccination Campaign 2026 at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office premises here on Wednesday, with a focus on improving vaccination coverage and ensuring effective outreach across Upper Subansiri district.
Deputy Commissioner Tasso Gambo, who chaired the meeting, called for coordinated efforts among health officials, line departments and other stakeholders to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries are covered under the immunisation programmes.
The meeting began with a welcome address by DMO (I/C) Dr Tade Rago. Dr Anshul of RRT-WHO made a detailed presentation on Routine Immunization and the HPV Vaccination Campaign 2026, highlighting programme priorities and the importance of community participation and inter-departmental coordination.
Officials and stakeholders subsequently held discussions on immunisation coverage, community mobilisation, awareness generation and logistical requirements for the smooth implementation of the vaccination campaign.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need for intensified awareness activities at the grassroots level and effective mobilisation of communities to reach eligible beneficiaries, particularly in remote and difficult-to-access areas.
He also stressed the importance of coordinated field-level efforts and regular monitoring to identify gaps and ensure timely corrective measures.
The meeting concluded with stakeholders reaffirming their commitment to strengthening routine immunisation coverage and ensuring the successful implementation of the HPV vaccination campaign across the district. (DIPRO)
