PASIGHAT, Aug 27: The District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting for the quarter ended June 2026 was held here today, with East Siang Deputy Commissioner Sonalika Jiwani chairing the meet.
The meeting reviewed the performance of banks in the district and the implementation of various government-sponsored schemes during the financial year 2026–27. Discussions were held on the Credit Deposit (CD) Ratio, which stood at 39.10 percent as on the quarter ended June 2026, besides credit flow under agriculture, MSME, priority and non-priority sectors, PMEGP, KCC, PMMY, SHGs and social security schemes.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation of the flagship programmes of the State Government, including Atma Nirbhar Krishi Yojana (ANKY), Atma Nirbhar Bagwani Yojana (ANBY), Atma Nirbhar Plantation Yojana (ANPY), Atma Nirbhar Matsyapalan Yojana (ANMPY), Atma Nirbhar Pashupalan Yojana (ANPPY) and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Swavalamban Yojana (DDUSY).
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated the banks for their performance in releasing funds to eligible beneficiaries under agriculture-related schemes, particularly ANKY and ANPY. She stressed the need for timely disposal of pending applications and effective coordination between banks and line departments to ensure that beneficiaries receive assistance without unnecessary delays.
The Industries Department highlighted ‘issues’ relating to PMFME and PMEGP, including portal-related difficulties and pending beneficiary cases.
The meeting also discussed employment generation, promotion of micro food-processing enterprises and timely disposal of applications under DDUSY.
It was decided that applicants failing to meet queries or requirements should be rejected appropriately so that eligible candidates from the waiting list can be considered.
The DDSE requested banks to facilitate the opening of bank accounts for minors to ensure better financial inclusion.
Further, the DC emphasized the importance of active participation by all branch managers and concerned departments in inter-departmental review meetings to strengthen coordination and ensure effective implementation of government schemes. (DIPRO)
