KHONSA, Sep 4: Troops of the Khonsa Battalion of Assam Rifles rescued a vehicle involved in an accident near Kheti village in Tirap district on Friday.
The rescue operation was carried out under the aegis of Headquarters 25 Sector Assam Rifles after the troops received information about the accident. A team promptly moved to the site and launched the rescue operation despite the challenging terrain and limited accessibility.
Through coordinated efforts, the troops successfully recovered the vehicle and shifted it to a secure location, thereby preventing further damage and obstruction to the road.
The timely intervention highlighted the prompt response and determination of Assam Rifles personnel in assisting the local population during emergencies and unforeseen situations.
The Assam Rifles said such initiatives reaffirm its commitment to public safety, humanitarian assistance and strengthening civil-security force relations in the remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
