PIB Itanagar organises first-ever press tour to Gujarat Nine-member media delegation to undertake seven-day exposure visit

ITANAGAR, Sep 6: The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Itanagar, is organising its first-ever Press Tour to Gujarat for journalists from Arunachal Pradesh from September 6 to 12, 2026, aimed at providing field-level exposure to development initiatives and governance practices.

A nine-member media delegation from Arunachal Pradesh, led by Joint Director, PIB Itanagar, Utsav Parmar, will undertake the seven-day visit.

The tour will provide journalists an opportunity to interact with government agencies, project authorities and other stakeholders and gain first-hand insights into the planning, implementation and outcomes of major development initiatives.

The initiative seeks to facilitate an exchange of perspectives on governance, infrastructure, technology, economy and public service delivery, while offering a comparative understanding of the development experiences of Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat.

It will also highlight India’s regional diversity, from the mountains and tribal communities of Arunachal Pradesh to Gujarat’s plains and semi-arid landscapes.

PIB Itanagar said the initiative is intended to strengthen engagement between the government and media through sustained interaction, dialogue and field-based exposure, and encourage informed and evidence-based reporting on development programmes and their impact on people.

The delegation is also expected to exchange experiences and perspectives with stakeholders during the visit, contributing to a broader understanding of India’s development journey and diverse approaches adopted across States.
