ITANAGAR, Sep 9: 138 Bn of CRPF organized a Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026-27 at Chimpu today.
As part of the CAP, a Basic Tailoring Skill Development Training was conducted from 01/09/2026 to 08/09/2026 for local boys, girls and villagers of the AOR of B/138 Bn, Chimpu, with the aim of promoting skill development, self-employment and livelihood opportunities.
The closing ceremony was attended by Rajesh Sankhla, Commandant 138 Bn CRPF, Heri Kaku, Supervisor IMC, Hangthian Tekwa, Headmaster Upper Primary Amorjyoti School, Chimpu, and others.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant appreciated the trainees for their participation and encouraged them to utilize the skills acquired during the training for self-employment, income generation and supporting their families. He stated that CRPF regularly conducts such welfare and skill development programmes based on the requirements of the local population.
During the programme, four sewing machines with pedestal stands, along with stools and complete tailoring accessories, including threads of various colours, small and big scissors, tailor tapes, tailor chalk, tailor machine needles and hand-sewing needle sets, were distributed among the beneficiaries to enable them to continue tailoring work independently.
The local dignitaries appreciated the efforts of 138 Bn CRPF towards community welfare and skill development.

The programme concluded, reaffirming the commitment of CRPF towards community welfare, self-reliance and strengthening its bond with the local population.
