PAA hails Thupten Tsering’s induction as APPAA president

ITANAGAR, Sep 12: The Paralympic Association of Arunachal (PAA) has extended its heartiest congratulations to Thupten Tsering, a respected Divyangjan artist and sports promoter, on his appointment as the president of the Arunachal Pradesh Para Athletics Association (APPAA).

Tsering’s personal journey as a Divyangjan artist, his determination, and his continued association with public and sporting activities reflect his commitment to promoting the abilities, aspirations, and potential of persons with disabilities. His journey stands as an example of perseverance and resilience and carries an important message of inclusion and equal opportunity.

The PAA expressed confidence that his experience as a Divyangjan artist and sports promoter will bring a valuable perspective to the development and promotion of para-athletes and para sports across the State.

Under his leadership, it is hoped that greater emphasis will be placed on grassroots talent identification, athlete development, professional coaching, training opportunities, and participation at national and international competitions. His leadership is also expected to encourage more persons with disabilities to take up sports and view sporting participation as a pathway towards confidence, recognition, empowerment, and sporting excellence.

The PAA looks forward to working closely with Tsering and the APPAA to reinforce the para sports movement across the State and create a stronger pathway for aspiring para-athletes, and expressed confidence that his leadership will help open up new opportunities and build a brighter future for the para-athletes of the State.
