Dy CM Mein assures support for timely execution of Dibang Multipurpose Project

ITANAGAR, Sep 13: Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein held discussions on the timely and smooth implementation of the 2,880 MW Dibang Multipurpose Project with its Executive Director, Narender Kumar, and other project officials, who called on him at his residence in Namsai.

The discussions covered key issues concerning the project, including land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R), mobile connectivity, local security, infrastructure development and power requirements.

Mein highlighted the strategic and developmental significance of the Dibang Multipurpose Project for Arunachal Pradesh, stating that it would contribute significantly to the State’s power generation capacity and overall socio-economic development.

He assured the project authorities of the State Government’s full cooperation and support in addressing issues related to the project and facilitating effective coordination among all stakeholders.

The Deputy Chief Minister reiterated the State Government’s commitment to extending all necessary assistance for the expeditious execution and timely completion of the landmark project.
