ITANAGAR, Sep 14: Arunachal Pradesh excelled at the 2nd MR North East Bodybuilding & Physique Champiomship-2026 at Kohima, Nagaland from September 11–12 by winning six medals, including 2 gold & 4 silver.
The State team members were accorded a warm welcome on their arrival at railway station, Naharlagun near here this morning.
Among the top performers, Diamalu Brahma emerged as Men’s Physique Champion, while Niaimun Mara came out as Model Physique Champion.
Other achievers included Raj Rabha — Top 4 (Above 80 kg), Lokam Bhai — Top 4 (60 kg), Yarda Dakio — Top 5 (55 kg), and Tarh Tapo — Top 5 (Men’s Physique).
Among the bodybuilding contestants, Leyi Kiojak Guha (55 kg), Bijoy Sarkar (60 kg), Wemu Tulang (70 kg), and Tarh Peter (75 kg), also made their marks at the Kohima championship.
APBBA working president Nabam Abo informed the media that the State team came up with a good performance at Kohima and termed it as satisfactory.
He stated: “Arunachal Pradesh was represented by 16 athletes, securing an impressive haul of 2 gold medals, 4 silver medals and several Top-5 finishes across different categories.”
