ITANAGAR, Sep 19: The Arts Club of Dera Natung Government College (DNGC), in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organised an orientation programme for its newly inducted members at the college premises here on Saturday.
The programme brought together former, existing and new members of the club and provided a platform to showcase artistic talents and encourage creativity and collaboration.
Dr Prasanta Nanda, Head of the Department of Zoology, attended as chief guest, while Dr Bige Yomgam, Head of the Department of Education, was the special guest. The programme began with the felicitation of the guests, followed by a welcome address by club member Hillang Mami. Arts Club convenor Dr Bombi Riram introduced the programme.
Members introduced themselves through artistic presentations, creating an interactive atmosphere. Addressing the gathering, Dr Yomgam encouraged students to uphold club ethics, discipline and cooperation and make effective use of the Arts Club to develop their creative skills.
Dr Nanda delivered a talk linking neuroscience and creativity. He explained the role of motor neurons in developing artistic abilities and highlighted the importance of a healthy lifestyle and diet. He also spoke about the potential of artistic skills for personal fulfilment and professional opportunities.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by club member Micheal Raje.
