ITANAGAR, Sep 21: Dental surgeon and implantologist Dr Pagli Ori of Itanagar, along with a colleague, has established a medical laboratory in the remote terrain of Ladakh, aiming to improve access to diagnostic services for communities in the high-altitude region.
The initiative seeks to address challenges faced by residents of remote areas in accessing timely medical testing, which often involves travelling long distances for diagnostic services. The new laboratory is expected to provide essential testing facilities locally and help reduce the time and travel involved in obtaining diagnostic services.
The initiative also highlights the efforts of healthcare professionals from Arunachal Pradesh in extending their professional and community-oriented work beyond the state.
Dr Ori holds BDS, MIDA and FFAC qualifications and a fellowship in Radiofrequency Cautery. He is an alumnus of Divya Jyoti College of Dental Sciences and Research and is the owner and chief practitioner of Dentouch Dental Clinic in Itanagar.
The establishment of the laboratory in Ladakh marks an expansion of his healthcare initiatives into remote and high-altitude areas, with the objective of contributing to improved access to essential medical infrastructure and diagnostic services.
